Should the way you train depend on your age and do the recommendations alter the older you get? Sprint and strength work is certainly something that should be included in our training, especially as we age. This is because the older we get, the more muscle mass we lose. Strength work has also been shown to increase aerobic capacity as well as mitochondrial density. These mitochondria are the 'powerhouse' of the cell and where energy is produced. Therefore, training can become more important the older you get.
