Symptoms and causes of a bad ignition coil. The first 4 minutes or so of this video is for you DIYers. I will show you how to identify a bad ignition coil with just a simple test light. The rest of this video I will be showing how to ID a bad coil using both primary current and secondary voltage waveforms on a scope. Finally I will show you how to determine what caused the coil to fail as well as how to repair a plug wire that is damaged, when you are in a pinch.
