Basic Windows 7 Customization - Screensavers
Screensavers were designed to prevent burn-in on CRT screens.
Nowadays, most monitors used are LCD's, and a screensavers on a LCD screen would not 'save' your screen anymore.
But you can still use them if you want to.
Rightclick on the desktop → Personalize
By default, no screensaver is set.
Click on 'Screen Saver' to go to the screen saver settings.
You can select a screensaver from the drop-down menu.
The monitor in the menu displays a preview of what the screensaver will look like.
Click Preview to preview the screensaver in fullscreen.
Doesn't this look great? Bring back the screensaver!
To set the screensaver press 'Apply' and 'OK'.
