Server 2008 Lesson 11 - Print Server Role and Deploying Printers. In this lesson I install the Printer and Document Services Role on the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system. This will allow the server to become a printer server that can share and deploy printers on the domain. I add a local printer and deploy it using Group Policy to all the computers and users in the domain. If you do not a mix of 32bit and 64bit operating systems on your domain you will need to install additional drivers for both types. Also I update the Group Policy settings on the client using the gpupdate command and verify the printer being deployed.
This video is part of the Server 2008 R2 Series from Lecture Snippets.
