HadesOmega How To VLOG: Replace 2G Prius Auxiliary Battery Part 1. In this how to VLOG I go over replacing a 2G Prius Auxiliary battery. In Part one I go over testing the battery and removing it from the car. See part 2 on installing the new battery. I'd also like to point out that an automotive shop will charge you $100+ to install this little battery. It's really not that hard and should take you like less than hour to install if you have some kind of mechanical aptitude. If you have no idea what your doing then I'd suggest you pay someone to do it instead =P. Sorry the subtitles are off sync for some reason if you wondering...
Also another indicator of a weak aux battery is if you get a Triangle of Death when you start the car for a few seconds from what I noticed. It means that your aux battery voltage is low then the charger kicks in and voltage goes up and cancels the Triangle of Death.
The battery I purchased was:
Bosch Platinum AGM
Group Size S46B24R
Part # 51-440BAGM
I purchased this battery from Pep Boys for $190
